Personal Development: Getting To Grips With The Law Of Attraction
May 22, 2011 by selfimprove
A great deal has been said and written on the subject of the so-called ‘Law of Attraction’. It has been popularised by videos and books, like ‘The Secret’ and by television talk-show hosts such as Larry King. However, few people comprehend what the aforementioned ‘attraction’ actually means. Could it be that you can attract into your life the things that you really want? And, if that’s what it means, how can you actually put the ‘Law of Attraction’ into action to change your life for the better?
Firstly, you need to realize is that the ‘Law of Attraction’ is at work in your everyday life as you read these words. This may come as a surprise to you but what you need to realize is that the life you lead is a perfect mirror image of what’s happening in your head. Unfortunately, much of what is going on in the normal person’s mind is doing them damage instead of good because, left on its own, the subconscious mind is both backward looking and negative, constantly ‘enabling’ you – and that’s obviously the wrong word – to keep repeating all the learned behaviours that are, currently, creating your reality. But more simply, as a result of the normal mind’s inner turmoil, it follows that the normal life is also in turmoil.
Whether you know[spin] [spin]this or not, the ‘Law of Attraction’ is a reality in your life. I’m not certain, from reading some of the reams of stuff – often misleading stuff – on the subject, that many will have fully grasped the extraordinary importance of this situation. But let’s say that you do understand it. You already appreciate that, to quote ‘The Secret’, your thoughts become things – what occupies your mind ends up manifesting in your life. You may have grasped this all-important concept intellectually – but intellectually understanding these facts and being able to put this ‘manifesting’ into practice is a totally different ballgame.
If you do not consciously take action each day to ensure that you’re in the right mental state, then it’s of no consequence how much you understand the way life works, you’re simply fooling yourself into the nice cosy misconception that the ‘Law of Attraction’ can change your life in a positive way.
To really practice the so-called “Law of Attraction” you need to clear your mind. There is little point in filling your mind with all the things that you want – most people have no idea of what they really want. Better still to fill your mind with the only place and time you are – the present moment. If you do that, you will coax your subconscious away from its obsession with both the past and the negative. You will become truly focused – effective, efficient, inspired and inspirational. In a clear state of mind you will attract the very best into your life, enabling you rise to heights that normal people couldn’t even dream of.
Live For Now. The Secret Key To Happiness.
May 7, 2011 by selfimprove
Happiness is elusive and is very hard to define as it means something different for each person. The one constant seems to be accept the past and then forget the past. Take action and move on so that you live for now.
The problem is that so many people waste their lives living with the pain and guilt of past events making it impossible to live for now? Think about it. Are you so focussed on your failures and shortcomings, or the injuries and betrayals that you have experienced, that you have convinced yourself that you are not worthy of experiencing joy and success? Have you labelled yourself as inadequate, or unworthy, or unlovable, or stupid? If so, tear off those labels now as they are dangerous and will destroy any chance you have for happiness. The universal law of attraction law of attraction states that your thoughts become your reality or put simply what you see you will be. (http://tonettekelly.wordpress.com)
For any chance at happiness you need to develop the ability to forgive yourself and put a new label on who you are and what you deserve, so that you can move forward and live for now.
Sometimes people are so ashamed or so horrified by their past that they try and bury it deep within to escape the pain. They often do this by maintaining such a frantic pace that they have no time to reflect and think. They keep their minds and bodies so busy that there is no time for silent contemplation. This does not work though because sub-consciously the past continues to eat you.
You need to face your past, feel the pain, sink deep into it and then make a decision that although everything is not alright and you are a broken person, you can be fixed. You must decide to make do with what you’ve got (ie. the broken you that you are) and refuse to be defined or limited by your past. You must make the decision to move on and live in the now. As soon as you make this decision your past loses its power over you.
You have chosen to accept it and let it go.
This is really important as unless you make a conscious decision to move on you tend to re-recreate your past ‘home’ as this is what your sub-conscious is used to.
This is demonstrated by the number of women who move from a childhood home where domestic violence is normal to a marital home where domestic violence also becomes normal. Over 60% of abused wives were also abused children as this situation is ‘home’ for them. It is what they are used to and somehow they attract it.
The same applies to financial circumstances. We have all heard of the ‘vicious circle of poverty’ whereby children who grow up in a family that receives welfare, with little money tend to repeat the cycle. Even if they are given opportunities at school and the vision of a new life, they are often uncomfortable with what is being offered and sabotage the new life by marrying a person with no potential or getting pregnant at an early age, or taking drugs. This means that they end up back where they started – at ‘home’.
To live for now we have to be aware of our old ‘home’ and recognise our natural tendency to go back and recreate it as it is familiar. We have to really think about how bad our old ‘home’ was, remember the feelings that we had when we were living there and all the reasons why we do not want to live there again. Be honest with yourself about how you felt. Acknowledge the anger you felt at:
(a) those who hurt you; or
(b) yourself for your own stupidity
and admit that everything was not alright.
We need to accept what was, as part of our past and decide that we are worthy of more. We then need to focus on what we actually want and take action towards achieving this. We should remember that the more we acknowledge how broken and needy we are the more desperate we will be to heal and achieve something different. This means that recognising our failures, inadequacies and horrors is essential as it is the trigger for our acceptance and freedom.
I think the most liberating and empowering piece of knowledge that I have encountered was realising that the past does not define who I am now or who I will be. I am free in every moment to be whoever it is that I want to be. My life is limited only by me.happiness http://tonettekelly.wordpress.com)
Similarly you and you alone can create any future that you desire by making the decision to take action and live in the now.

How To Get The Law Of Attraction To Work For You
March 20, 2011 by selfimprove
Lots has been said and written about the so-called Law of Attraction – how you can attract what you want into your life. But very little has been said about what you have to do to get it to work in your favour. Some suggest that all you have to do is “believe” (whatever that means – necessarily the subject of a separate post) and what you want will come to you.
Would that it were so simple! Unfortunately, some work is involved on your part – you’ve got to do what’s necessary to bring what you want about – and you’ve got to do it wholeheartedly. This is where the average person falls flat on their face, because the average person – psychology proves – is incapable of doing almost anything wholeheartedly. The problem is that the average person only uses a tiny percentage of their focus when doing anything – the greater part of their mind is actively, albeit subconsciously, trying to stop them getting what they want.
Your thoughts are working against you. We’ve about 50,000 thoughts whizzing through our head every day. Some are useless – “Did I unplug the curling tongs before I left home this morning?” or “I wish I was playing golf instead of being bored at this meeting!” But many of our thoughts, the ones that bubble up from our subconscious mind, are self-destructive – “I feel like I’m a failure.” “I’m useless when it comes to this.” – whatever “this” is! “I’m shy”, “I’m stupid” – fill in your own blanks.
The problem is that these thoughts, whether we’re aware of them or not, block the flow of our energy – and quantum physics explains that universal energy responds to our input (that’s what the Law of Attraction is all about). If your energy is muddled – by the normal scrambled thoughts of the normal scrambled mind – then you’re not doing the bit that you need to do to bring what you want in your life about.
So, to change your life, you’ve got to change your mind – or, at least, the way your mind is working against you. You’re going to have to start living wholeheartedly – doing whatever you’re doing in the present moment in a more fully focused way. You need to engross yourself in the task in hand, whatever it may be – without letting useless thoughts (like “I don’t like what I’m doing at the moment”) disturb you. Then you’re energy will flow and you’ll be in flow (a scientific term coined by the University of Chicago to describe the state of mind of high achievers) with the flow of universal energy. That’s when the so-called Law of Attraction kicks in – because you’re no longer blocking the free-flow of energy.
You immerse yourself in the task in hand by really seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling and tasting what you’re doing. Yeah, you’ve got to come to your senses – literally. You need to start practicing this for yourself early each morning. You could try some formal meditation (it’s great!) or just take a few minutes out, see the steam rise off your coffee, taste the bitter taste, smell the aroma, cup the mug in your hands and feel the warmth and listen to hum of the refrigerator or the hiss of the coffee-maker. The props you need for your own personal development are all around you – and it’s in the ordinary of the everyday that you’ll find what you’re searching for in life.
Science Behind The Law Of Attraction?
December 15, 2010 by selfimprove
Every day, I see questions such as ‘Do you believe in the Law Of Attraction?’ Is it real? Does it really work? Does it really exist? Is there any scientific basis to it?
These same questions are being asked AT LEAST once every other day both in Yahoo and all over the internet.
There are many people who are quick to say it’s a ‘scam’ and label it rubbish, pseudoscience, a sham religion, wishful thinking, etc. Others say it’s real without giving a detailed explanation.
Let’s put this issue to rest. The Law Of Attraction exists and is REAL. It has been around since the beginning of time, just like gravity. Everyone believes in gravity and no one questions it because gravity’s effects are IMMEDIATE. If you jump out of a five story building, you’ll fall down in no time.
People have a harder time accepting the Law Of Attraction because UNLIKE gravity, there’s always a TIME DELAY associated with it.Your thoughts and emotions are INVISIBLE waves of energy, similar to radio waves. These invisible waves of energy take TIME to manifest into actual physical reality we can see with our eyes. When people think and feel a negative thought today and something bad happens to them days later, they don’t associate the thought as having caused the effect.
The great electrical scientists such as Edison, Tesla, and Marconi all believed that thoughts could move through the air. They were certain that thoughts could affect things if the they are strong and clear. The noted astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington said it was NOT impossible that the physical laws of the universe could be made subject to human thought. And quantum physics doesn’t rule it out either.
Einstein’s world famous E=MC2 proved that mass and energy are the same, just in different form. That simple equation allowed scientists to build atomic bombs which could destroy entire cities. That equation also proves that our thoughts and emotions, which are energy waves, can also transform into physical matter. Modern quantum physics has stated that all the subatomic particles which make up matter starts out as a Wave Of Probability. When we place our thought or awareness on these waves, the wave ‘collapses’ into a super small particle of matter. The more we place our awareness on it, eventually it becomes part of our physical reality. This is just a very brief explanation.
Gravity was around for thousands of years before Issac Newton ‘discovered it’, since the beginning of time. The Law Of Attraction has also been in existence forever before the movie THE SECRET came out in 2006. The Secret simply made popular something that has been with us all along.
Here’s the bottom line. If someone doesn’t ‘believe’ in the Law of Attraction, they will live their life by DEFAULT. Meaning, they will live their life by going along with the flow of good or bad circumstances that present themselves. If someone does believe in the Law of Attraction AND LEARNS how to use their thoughts and emotions to intentionally create positive circumstances for themselves, then that person will live their life by DESIGN.
The Secret was a well made movie. However, the Law Of Attraction is more complicated than what the movie teaches. There is MUCH more to the whole manifesting process. The movie should have made that clear, but it did NOT. When people who tried to follow what the movie taught and it didn’t work for them, they started to have doubts and began to think it isn’t real. The people and critics who were skeptical from the beginning were quick to say it’s not real and is a scam or pseudoscience.
(That is part of the problem. The other problem is that many books out there teaching the Law Of Attraction are INCOMPLETE and are more motivational than anything else. Also, they present the information in such a manner that the average person has a hard time putting the information into practical use to get some real results.)
Again, the Law Of Attraction is VERY real but people need to study MUCH MORE into it besides just watching The Secret. You can’t understand Aerospace Engineering math by just learning basic algebra. You need to go further into higher levels of math such as differential equations and advanced calculus. In order to really understand the true nature of the Law Of Attraction, one needs to study MUCH more into it. Is it no surprise that almost every teacher featured in THE SECRET has their OWN specialized course on the Law Of Attraction?
The popular statement: “Whatever you spend your time and energy focusing on will eventually come to you” is true, BUT NOT THE FULL STORY. It is an oversimplification. You can’t teach someone to bake a special cake by only telling them to ‘get the right ingredients’. You need to go into the specifics such as which ingredients, how to properly mix, the right baking temperature, etc…..If even ONE step along the way isn’t done correctly, the outcome will not be favorable.
So, it’s NOT only about thinking what you want all the time and it appears right in front of you.
There is a step by step scientific process to making the law of attraction work. The problem is most people NEVER learn the whole process. All books (including The Secret) out there seem to give bits of info here and there. Some give too much information, not enough or, are so hard to understand that people are never able to apply any of the information they learn.
How To Get Results With The L.O.A. With One Crazy Easy Mind Technique
September 10, 2010 by Oliver
If you have been an interested student of the L.O.A., then you know how attractions occur once the subconscious mind has accepted a desired outcome to be true. Tapping the subconscious is a skill that many people struggle with. Many have deep rooted limiting beliefs that often take much time to replace. Many of the areas that this occurs most with are love, beauty, physical health, and prosperity, and success.
There are many ways to influence the subconscious mind with your conscious thoughts so as to produce a desired result. Just about everybody employing the L. O. A use visualisations, affirmations, meditations, and sustained positive attention and goal on the desired experience. What if there was a method to take the belief factor out of the L. O. A process? What if it were possible to simply know what you really want, and then be in a position to get it without investing a great deal of time to create an affirmative belief?
Well I’ve been lucky to stumble across a simple strategy that does precisely that. It’s not a brand new discovery. In fact , the study and validity of the technique I am about to share with you was developed over a 30 year period, from the 1930′s and ultimately brought to the general public attention in the 1960′s. It baffles me why it hasn’t been recognized and learned by a greater number of folks. I assume this is because there had been only 1 book ever written on it. It could have been before its time, and thus has been out of print for many years. The book was titled “The Secret of Perfect Living” by James Mangan.
As I analyzed the strategy further, I noticed that folk, a small number of terribly lucky people, have been using this technique for years with totally mind boggling results. I determined to test it out for myself, and I too have have really phenomenal results. I have enjoyed several manifestations that have happened in about an amazingly short time period. I have used it with money objectives, and from the day I commenced I’ve been given gifts, prize money, repayments, a rise in business and sales, as well as just simply finding money on a daily basis.
The technique requires the utilization of “switchwords.” This was the word utilised by the originator, James Mangan, as he compared their use to that of “flicking on a lamp.” When the right switchword is utilized in a selected situation, the result comes just as easily as turning on a light.
The switchwords strip down, clarify, and take the belief factor out of using the LOA. This may actually provide extraordinarily quick results and some fun experiences. Have a go at it, pick 1 or 2 and test them out. Tell me it you have any cool experiences to share. I have been told of lottery winnings, new business deals, job promotions, and even modified physical appearances ( at least understood by others. ) have fun testing them out for yourself!

Directing Your Subconscious Mindset To Harness The Universal Laws Of Attraction To Attract The Life You Want
September 1, 2010 by Oliver
Are you enjoying as much achievement in business that you set out to achieve? Are you living with the level of wealth that you have always wanted to enjoy? Are your relationships as fulfilling as you had hoped? Are you happy with you body as it is, do you enjoy the level of health that you desire?
If not, then your sub-conscious mind needs to be worked on. Your sub-conscious mind put the LOA into action in your life, and the LOA determines the results that you will attract in each area of your experience including success in business, building wealth and prosperity, building great relationships, and enjoying perfect health. When you learn to program your subconscious mindset you can harness the Law of Attraction and make it work for you to bring you the life you dream of.
The subconscious is the seat of belief, habit, and where are dominant thoughts and angles are stored. The way our subconscious is programmed effects our complete lives. The beliefs in our subconscious are the forces that direct and create our lives as we progress thru time.
If you’ve not achieved everything that you would have hoped to, and if you’re not happy with the results that you’re receiving in any actual area of your life, it is really because your subconscious convictions are programmed adversely.
You can reprogram your subconscious with new beliefs, and you can create new leads to your life. We reside in a powerful universe of cause and effect. The dominant thoughts and beliefs we have are the cause of everything in our life, and the effects are the experiences that we attract into our life.
If your results are not what you need them to be, start looking at the main cause, the thoughts or sentiments that you hold that’d be making those results. When you find the root cause it’ll be in the form of a negative belief or a negative attitude toward that area of your life.
But you can replace poor causes with more supportive ones in the same way that you created the negative ones, through repeated thought. When you start thinking and giving your attention to the required results, you will be programming them into your subconscious.
After a time period, dependent on how much attention you give to the good and desirable, your subconscious will develop these new beliefs and your life will change in an appropriate way. You have control over what you feed to your subconscious, so use that control so that you only attract and create pleasing and fascinating effects.

You Can Access Incredible Power That Is In Your Subconscious
August 16, 2010 by Oliver
Through new books about the Laws of Attraction and the deeper mind set, people are realizing that deeper beliefs and thoughts make their way into the physical world.
If you think of poverty, you will attract it into your life.
If you think financial freedom, you will pull more money into your life.
If you give attention to illness and disease, these things will be brought unto you.
If you think of health, you will find a lifetime full of health.
Attitudes are things and the nature of your attitudes directs the course of your life. take control of the deeper mindset so that it brings you wanted fruits as opposed to unwanted results is simply a matter of controlling the thoughts that you allow in your conscious mindset.
We all think thousands of thoughts on a daily basis. A attitude alone does not have power, but a thought that is given attention on a regular base and with great emotion does.
Therefore to take control of your deeper mindset, consequently controlling the entire course of your life, you simply need to take control of and monitor the thoughts that you hold in your thinking mind.
If you want health, wealth, achievement, and happiness, you need to make these dominant attitudes in your mindset. Picture yourself perfect in every way. What does your life look like, how do you feel, what situations do you find yourself in?
Knowing the answer to these easy questions, and keeping the vision of these things foremost in your mind set, will give you the power to create your own destiny.
The difference between a happy and achievementful life and a miserable and unsuccessful life stems from the thoughts and attitudes in the mind of the individual. The only thing you have control over is your thoughts, but by moving your thoughts, you will take control of the circumstances of your life.
Many people think we live in a strictly physical world, but the truth is that we live in a spiritual world that manifests itself in the physical reality.
When you take take control of of the spiritual world, which you do every day with your thoughts, you’re able to direct the course of your life in any way that you choose.
Think attitudes of health, attitudes of riches, attitudes of achievement, of harmonious relationships, and of overall satisfaction and happiness. The more attention you give to these positive things, the more of them you will find showing up in your life.
And just as darkness cannot reside in the presence of light, negative thoughts and there consequent fruits, cannot reside in the presence of positive attitudes.
Therefore, the more positive your thoughts, the more positive experiences and the less negative ones you will have thanks to the prosperity.

Changing Your Life: Exploring The Law Of Attraction

Getting Anything And Everything You Want

Positive Affirmations – Getting Anything and Everything You Want
Affirmations are our thoughts, inner dialog, and self-talk. We have a continuous stream of affirmations, sometimes we are not even aware of what we say to ourselves. Positive Affirmations are those that create positive energy, flow, behavior, and results in our life. Negative affirmations are the ones that hold us back and that attract failure and negatively. Negative affirmations need to be eliminated and replaced with patterns that are constructive.
Getting what you want can be as easy as acting and reacting as if you want it. Stop being in your own way, and allow the flow of your positive thoughts to create your reality. Determine what you want and consider what internally held beliefs are generating obstacles. Once you have done this you are able to consciously create positive affirmations that will replace the negative self-talk. Using Positive Affirmations consistently will keep you focused on your goals and remind you to be conscious of your inner dialog. As you become more proficient at positive affirmations, there will be no room for negative self-talk.
Get everything and anything you want and desire in life. The more you are able to chip away at long-held, erroneous, and deep-seated negative internal beliefs, the more you are able to allow the results of positive affirmations into your life. When every thought, word, and deed is focused on your goals, you will only have room to achieve what you most desire.
Allow your positive, worthy, and approachable persona to flourish and shine. That persona is you without the negative affirmations. Negative affirmations are just beliefs such as, “I can’t”, “I could never”, “That would never happen”, “there’s no way”, “that would be impossible”, “I don’t think I could”, and you get the idea.
Nearly 90% of our thoughts are negative. Now you know why people do not achieve their goals. All that negative energy attracts the negative things we dread! Watch the movie entitled, “The Secret”, for more detailed information on the Law of Attraction, and how people generally attract the things they dread the most into their lives. Things negative usually include bad relationships, poor health, poverty or debt, bad luck, lack of friendships, poor grades in school, car troubles – the list goes on and on!
Turn this around, and make your thoughts become 90% – 100% positive. Achieve your dreams! Achieve you goals! Live the life you’ve always dreamed of, but never believed would ever be possible for you. Just know that you have the power to change things. You can absolutely without a doubt live a life you never imagined possible – if you just change the way you think, and use affirmations to your benefit. It works every time – guaranteed.

Personal Development: Managing Your Energy
July 9, 2010 by Oliver
Our universe, our world and our everyday lives operate like a huge energy-exchange machine. So says quantum physics – everything is simply energy and the basic building blocks are what are known as superstrings of energy. You have trillions of superstrings of energy that combine into particles, molecules, cells which, all together, make up the physical you. To quote the physicist Brian Greene, your superstrings are something like violin strings and, when they are all in tune, life’s just like a beautiful symphony. But how often does that happen? More often than not your strings are out of tune and your daily life sounds more like a third-rate crappy brass band!
Never mind the jargon of Personal Development, we even have expressions that describe how it feels to be ‘out of tune’ and, strangely enough, these generally refer to the main centres in our body which ancient mysticism describes as the key energy centres or ‘chakras’. Some examples will explain all! If you’re nervous, you’ll feel like you have butterflies in your stomach – the physical manifestation of your state of mind. If you’ve something upsetting or unpalatable to say, you might have a lump in your throat. If you’re feeling disenchanted you might have that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach – a key energy centre often referred to by successful people when they mention gut instinct or gut feel. And how come that tension and nervousness can result in a ‘tense nervous headache’?
The simple fact is that, whether you’re aware of the scientific explanation or not, you somehow feel that your state of mind produces physical knock-on effects. What’s the point of all this? Well, the normal state of mind, which psychology confirms tends towards the negative, is the cause of all manner of ills and, crucially, is the source of unease in our everyday lives. The normal subconscious mind turns our energy in on ourselves – and, as a consequence – so that we end up sabotaging ourselves. Sometimes we are all too well aware of the results of a negative state of mind: low self esteem, no self confidence, an unease in certain circumstances, stress, anxiety (all the way up to panic) and depression. But these are the obvious examples of a more subtle and deeply-rooted problem.
This inward focus of our energy means that we don’t have a sufficient amount of energy available to put into what we’re supposed to be doing right now and it is this ‘disability’ that keeps normal people imprisoned in a not-too-bad, normal existence. And as our world and your life operates so that you get a return on the energy that you put into the act of living, with little concrete investment comes little or no return. It’s no big surprise then that people lack fulfilment.
You must break this cycle of self destruction. You’ve got to start investing more energy in your life, by putting more of you into living in the present moment. You can start, right now, by taking five minutes, sitting somewhere where you won’t be disturbed, closing your eyes and simply listening to the sounds that you hear. This turns off the constant noise in your head and tears your subconscious mind’s attention away from its negative, self-sabotaging obsession and enables you turn that inward energy out into a world that is simply waiting to respond to presence in the here and now.
