Power of Positive ThinkingThe Power of Positive Thinking

Many scientists believe that we are using only a very small amount of our mind’s overall capacity. They insist that humans are only capable of using from five to eight percent what the mind can actually do. This is saying a lot, because if this is true, then imagine what people can do if they could double or even triple their abilities to use their minds. Not only that, what if they can use their brains to their one hundred percent potential and capacity? What would then be the things that people will not be able to achieve? Probably not much anymore, since the mind is working at full capacity. This seems very ambitious, but we must return to the fact that we can only use less than a tenth of our mind’s capacity. However, we must still be very happy since despite this small percentage, we are able to achieve so much – as illustrated by the many inventions and discoveries all throughout human history. Much of these successes can be credited to the mind’s power of positive thinking. It all begins here. Read on to find out more about this power.

In order for us to fully benefit from our minds’ power of positive thinking, we have to allow or minds to work in situations or settings that give them the freedom to think as optimistically as we can. Doing this may involve an overhaul of one’s attitude and overall behavior. All changes take some time before people can get used to them, but the wait and the effort will be all worth it. A few tips on how to maximize this mind’s power can be found below.

It will be helpful if people get used to using positive and encouraging words in every day life. Phrases such as I can, it is very possible, it is doable, and the like open the door for the mind to work harder and better. Also, it really helps if people choose to feel the way they feel. While it may be true that emotions can sometimes be uncontrollable, and one cannot help feeling sad, frustrated, or depressed, it is also true that any negative feeling should only last for about seven minutes. Anything beyond that is self-inflicted. Thus, after this period, people must ignore these negative emotions, and focus more on the positives.

Listening to music that has a positive tune, reading books with positive themes, and even watching TV shows that are light, funny, and generally positive in theme. Not only will these media allow people to forget their problems, but these will also help them think more positively.

The point here is that the mind’s power of positive thinking depends on how serious a person is about changing his fortune and turning his life for the better. The mind always has that potential to outperform our expectations, but the first step always is always up to us. Deciding that we start thinking positively will not do anything except welcome positive changes in our lives.
