Greater Self
September 5, 2010 by Oliver
All of us possess an unlimited power within us that permits us to jump into our greatest possibility. Learning and understanding our “Greater Self” requires faith, wisdom, courage, and honesty. Exposing ourselves up to our truth reveals that there is still more to learn. Just imagine if we stopped learning – we would then stop growing.
How do you begin to understand the “Greater Self” and expand into self’s possibilities?
First, examine what is working for you. Everything that isn’t, let it go – get rid of it! Understand that in order to move into a reality that produces what you want, you must change your present reality. You start by choosing and focusing on a desired outcome for your true life. Second, bring into clear focus the things that bring you the greatest comfort and pleasure. Ask yourself, “what are the talents that have been with me since I could first remember?” That is the ground work for unveiling your purpose. When you are clear about what you do better than anyone, you can then begin adjust your talents with your purpose. Next, remember this, “Goals without a deadline are just dreamy utopia.” We need goals to guide us to our dreams and they keep us from doing tasks that are not in alignment with achieving our goals. Other points to remember to disclose your Greater-Self and realize your possibilities are to learn how to assess your skills and make improvements. Do you need more training or education? Look out specialized knowledge or field in your focused area. Draw upon other’s field and start to increase your benefit capital. Don’t be scared because you feel that someone else has already tapped into what you want to, they have a different technique of presenting the information than you do. There is nothing new under the sun. We are all regurgitating information and making it our own. So, don’t be afraid to re-build or re-arrange something that is already made.
Someone who dares to compete in a competition have the opportunity to succeed in life. Competition can serve as a tool to quantify how great ability we have. If we lose in a competition, questions will arise in us. These questions are the subject of introspection for us to learn and improve skills. So therefore we will be ready for the next competition. Defeated in a competition is fair. Dare to accept defeat and realize our faults is the hallmark of a true winner.
Each person has the skills to dynamically create what they want, affecting the world around them in a positive way. Known Author, Dr. Robert Anthony, says “…purpose is why you want something, goals are specifically what you want, and creating what you want is how you will accomplish getting what you want.” Living on your unique terms for success is what possibility living is all about. Possibility thinking will bring you what you want, no matter the defiance. You have the greatest power to make the impossible becomes possible.
